Durability

PAMREX manhole covers are designed to be highly durable, a benefit that is made possible by the excellent mechanical performance of ductile iron.
• Four times the load strength of typical cast iron covers
   - Capable of withstanding an average load of 120,000 lbs.
   - Far exceeds AASHTO H20 heavy-duty loading standard: (32,000 lbs.)
   - Independently tested and certified
• Gasket keeps cover silent and stable, even in heavy traffic conditions
   - Absorbs traffic shock
   - Tested for long-term durability

Infiltration Resistance

PAMREX manhole covers are designed to reduce the level of infiltration.
• Hinge design includes innovative “dual wiper” hinge housing plug
enabling hinge to remain self cleansing
• Elastomer gasket also helps reduce wet weather inflow

Security

PAMREX manhole covers are designed to provide a range of security options to prevent unauthorized access.
• Two locking kits are available, can be retrofitted to cover
- PENTA locking kit — special locking wrench required to open lock
- SCS locking kit — spring-released locking key required to open lock

Safety

PAMREX manhole covers are designed for safe use by installers and maintenance personnel.
• Ductile iron
   - Product weighs 50% less than typical cast iron covers, reducing risks
     of manual material handling (MMH)
   - Safe mode of failure — even in unlikely event that cover dishes and/or
     cracks, it remains strong and stays in place
• Hinge design
   - Cover opens to 130º
   - Hinge blocking feature prevents cover from accidental closure
